Payments & Billing

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about costs, installments, and accepted payment methods.

What You'll Pay

Your price is the all-in cost of treatment. That covers your medical visit/consultation, medication (if prescribed), injection kits, and overnight shipping. There are no hidden add-ons.

Pricing can vary depending on which pharmacy fills your prescription—you'll see your exact cost before you're charged.

That $75 is your appointment deposit. It's not an extra fee—here's how it works:

  • If you're prescribed: the $75 is credited toward your first medication payment. You don't pay it twice.
  • If you're not a candidate or decide not to move forward during the appointment: it's refunded.

Nope. No membership fee. No "VIP club." Just care + meds (if prescribed).

When & How You're Charged

We charge when your prescription is submitted to the pharmacy—usually within a business day of your appointment. That's when we send it to the pharmacy and they start the fill process, so that's when billing kicks in.

We bill based on 4-week medication periods and prorate accordingly. So if your prescription is 10 weeks, you'd pay for two full 4-week periods plus 2 prorated weeks—not some rounded-up calendar month.

This keeps billing tied to the actual medication you receive.

Installment Plans

Yes. Prescriptions in the 8–15 week range can be paid in full or split into monthly installments.

Heads Up
Prescriptions longer than 15 weeks are pay-in-full only (no installment option).

Here's the deal:

  • Installments are billed in 4-week periods (monthly-ish).
  • Month 1 is billed when we submit your prescription to the pharmacy.
  • Months 2+ are billed about one month apart until the prescription term is fully paid.
  • The last month may be prorated (charged weekly) if your prescription doesn't land exactly on a 4-week boundary.
  • Your $75 appointment credit always goes toward Month 1.
Tirzepatide — $599 / 12 weeks
Your $75 appointment credit is applied to Month 1. Each "month" is a 4-week billing period. If the final period is less than 4 weeks, it's prorated at $49.92/week.
PrescriptionMonth 1 (after $75 credit)Month 2Month 3Month 4
9 weeks$124.00$199.00$49.92 (1 wk)
10 weeks$124.00$199.00$99.84 (2 wk)
12 weeks$124.00$199.00$199.00
15 weeks$124.00$199.00$199.00$149.76 (3 wk)

Because we charge based on the actual number of weeks prescribed. If your last "month" is really only 1–3 weeks, that final payment gets prorated at the weekly rate—we don't charge you for a full 4 weeks you didn't receive.

Yes. Installments are just a way to split the total across the prescription term—you're still responsible for completing all payments for that prescription.

Accepted Payment Methods

Here's the quick rundown:

  • Credit / Debit cards — Yes
  • HSA cards — Yes (if it doesn't go through on the first try, reach out to support and we'll get it sorted)
  • CareCredit — Yes
  • Klarna / Affirm — Yes (virtual card method recommended—see below)
  • AfterPay — Not at this time
  • Insurance — Not currently. We don't support insurance filing or prior authorizations right now.

Yep. Klarna and Affirm are both allowed.

Important Note
Some "pay later" methods add a processing surcharge depending on how it's run. One easy way to avoid surprises is to use a virtual card from Klarna/Affirm and pay like a normal card checkout.
⚠️ Using Klarna/Affirm with installments?
If you're doing monthly installments with us, make sure your payment method can handle future monthly charges. Some virtual cards are one-time use or expire quickly—great for a single payment, not great for month 2 and month 3 if the card disappears. If you're unsure, use a card method that stays active, or contact admin for the smoothest setup.

Goal: Klarna generates a card number for you, then you use it at checkout like a normal Visa/Mastercard.

  1. Open the Klarna app and log in
  2. Tap around for Card / Virtual Card / One-time card / Pay with Klarna (it's usually under Wallet, Card, or Shop—Klarna moves it around sometimes)
  3. Choose Create one-time/virtual card (or create a card for the purchase)
  4. If asked, set a spending limit slightly above what you expect to pay
  5. Klarna shows your: card number, expiration, CVV, and billing ZIP (usually tied to your Klarna profile)
  6. At checkout, choose credit/debit card and enter those virtual card details
Troubleshooting
If it fails: double-check billing ZIP, raise the spending limit, or regenerate the card.

Affirm can look different depending on your account, but here are the two common paths:

Option A: Affirm Card / Pay Anywhere

  1. Open the Affirm app and log in
  2. Find Card / Affirm Card / Pay Anywhere
  3. Choose Generate/Create virtual card
  4. Confirm the plan and spending limit (if prompted)
  5. Copy the card number / exp / CVV and use it at checkout like a normal card

Option B: "Pay with Affirm" generates a card

  1. In the Affirm app, choose Pay with Affirm
  2. Enter the purchase amount (and sometimes the merchant/site)
  3. Pick your plan
  4. Affirm generates a card number—use it at checkout like a normal card
Don't see these options?
Your Affirm account may not have the "pay anywhere/card" feature enabled yet.
Account & Support

If a payment fails, your order or refill can be delayed until billing is updated.

Best move: update your card ASAP (see the next question for steps), then message support/admin so we can keep things moving.

Do this in a web browser (phone browser or computer works best):

  1. Log into your patient portal
  2. Click Settings (gear icon)
  3. Click Update Payment Cards
  4. Click Add Payment Card
  5. Enter the new card details
  6. Be sure to check "Set as default payment method"
  7. Click Save

Yes—all of the above. If you need a receipt for your records, a Superbill for insurance reimbursement, or a Letter of Medical Necessity, just reach out to support/admin and we'll get it to you.

For anything payment-related—installments, card updates, receipts, HSA hiccups—reach out in the billing chat in the portal.

Doctors are there for medical care; billing is handled by the admin crew.
